A concrete cost calculator estimates a slab's cost by combining the volume (which it works out from your dimensions) with the ready-mix price per cubic yard and a labour rate. It's the money companion to the concrete calculator — same volume maths, with pricing on top.
Concrete pricing is regional and order-size sensitive, so the defaults are 2026 national ballparks. Drop in your supplier's quote and your finisher's rate for a real figure; the volume itself is exact.
Volume = length × width × thickness, converted to cubic yards with a 10% waste allowance. Concrete cost = that volume × your price per cubic yard. Labour = slab area × your rate per square foot. Default price range ($125–175/yd³) is from 2026 ready-mix cost guides; small pours often carry short-load fees.
A 20 × 12 ft slab at 4 in is about 3.0 cubic yards (3.3 with waste). At $140/yd³ that's ~$456 of concrete; add $5/sq ft labour on 240 sq ft (~$1,200) for ~$1,656 total.
| Item | Typical range (2026) | Notes |

| Short-load fee | $40–110 | Added on small orders (under ~10 yd³) |
| Placing & finishing | $3–8 / sq ft | Pour + finish labour only |
| Full installed slab | $8–18 / sq ft | Site prep, forms, pour, finish |
