A cubic feet calculator converts length, width and height into cubic feet — and into cubic yards, cubic metres and gallons. It is the everyday volume tool for sizing a box or freezer, working out storage and shipping space, or converting a bagged-material volume.
Enter the three dimensions in feet (or metres) and it returns the volume four ways, so whatever unit your supplier, mover or appliance uses, you have the number.
Volume = length × width × height with all three in feet. One cubic foot is about 7.48 US gallons, 28.3 litres, or 1/27 of a cubic yard. Dimensions entered in metres are converted (1 m³ = 35.31 ft³). Add the volumes of separate boxes for irregular shapes.
A 10 × 8 × 4 ft space is 320 cubic feet — about 11.9 cubic yards, or roughly 2,394 US gallons.
